Care & Maintenance
In choosing Solid Surface for your home, your family can now enjoy years of practicality from this stylish, easy to live with product.
Our feedback from our customers enables us to present you with this comprehensive Solid Surface care brochure.
This Brochure will provide you with some tips on how to best care for your Solid Surface.
By nature, Solid Surface is easy to clean and easy to care for. For basic stains clean with mild detergents or general all purpose cleaners. (Ajax Spray n Wipe) Avoid using abrasive scouring pads for routine cleaning.
Avoid contact with strong chemicals that can cause damage to the surface such as oven cleaner, acetone, paint removers and other strong chemicals. If exposed, immediately rinse with water. Remember, prolonged contact with harsh chemicals can cause serious damage to the surface.
The innate feature of Solid Surfaces gives it excellent heat resistant properties compared to other surfacing products in the market. To prevent any damage from heat, never place hot items directly on the surface. Always use trivets or cork pads when placing hot items on the bench.
Our suppliers of Solid Surfaces provide a 10-year limited warranty on their products so you have the assurance of quality products, certified fabricators and expert installation.
Simple Steps to Avoid Damage
Avoid cutting directly on your Solid Surface. Always use a cutting board. Never place hot pans directly on your surface. Even though Solid Surfaces can withstand high temperatures, prolonged periods or extreme heat could cause permanent damage.
To remove persistent stains (eg. Coffee, food colouring, ink) or scratches, scrub the stained area with a mild abrasive cleanser. (Gumption, Jif) For deep scratches and/or other damages requiring professional repair, please contact us for assistance.
